At ARNOLD, energy saving is more than just a buzzword — it is a responsibility that is put into practice. This was demonstrated by the campaign week on the topic of energy efficiency, which took place at all locations from November 10 to 14, 2025. With interactive formats such as energy consultations, a knowledge quiz, and information stands, the company inspired more than 100 employees to take concrete measures in their professional and private lives.
A particular highlight was the digital energy quiz with 90 participants, which conveyed knowledge in a playful way and encouraged reflection on electricity consumption and energy-saving potential. The individual energy consultations provided by the Hohenlohekreis Climate Center were also very well received: in short one-on-one conversations, employees received specific tips on their private energy consumption—for example, on heating behavior, insulation, photovoltaics, or current subsidy options.
“The personal consultations were particularly appreciated because they addressed the employees' situations individually and in a way that was relevant to their everyday lives,” emphasizes Joachim Schröder, head of the Climate Center.
The energy-saving week was also accompanied by a social media campaign and provided space for employees to contribute their own ideas: many employees submitted specific improvements via the suggestion scheme, which are now being integrated into the energy management processes.
Another milestone: ARNOLD recently successfully passed the energy audit in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. This internationally recognized standard confirms that the company is systematically working to reduce its energy consumption.
“The action week was a strong signal from the workforce – and another building block on our path to greater sustainability,” says Bernd Weidner, COO at ARNOLD. “The great commitment of our employees makes it clear that energy efficiency is not a one-off action for us, but part of our corporate culture.”
The action week concluded with the “Energy” expert forum on November 27 in Dörzbach. In short keynote speeches, internal and external speakers shared their knowledge on practical topics related to energy efficiency and sustainable supply concepts. Participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and discuss concrete solutions for greater sustainability in everyday business life.
