Do you need special surfaces? ARNOLD's electro-plating facility can also handle out-of-the-ordinary requirements – to first class quality and economically.
During the surface coating process, single drums move the parts through the coating unit. First, we fill the drum with fasteners ready for decoct degreasing, a process during which we remove oil, grease and other residual contamination.
Now the items are rinsed and they then move on into the pickling bath. This is where we remove oxide layers, such as rust and scale so as to produce a bright metallic surface. The items are rinsed again before they move into the electrolytic degreasing unit, our ultra-fine cleaning process which eliminates the last traces of any contaminants.
Cathode corrosion protection
To ensure cathode corrosion protection after the main surface treatment has taken place, a zinc coating of 8 to 10 micrometers is applied by electrolysis. Once again, this is followed by the obligatory rinsing stage. Then, at the passivation state – depending on what you need, we apply a transparent, yellow or thick film. After the final rinse we dry the items inside the centrifugal drier.
