To promote innovation in the field of 3D metal printing, two Würth Group companies, ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK from Forchtenberg-Ernsbach and Werkzeugtechnik Niederstetten, have formed the "Competence Center 3D Manufacturing". As an expression of this partnership commitment, the companies jointly hosted a one-day symposium at the Kocherwerk in Ernsbach on 20.02.2024. The event not only promised fascinating insights into the latest advances in additive manufacturing, but also provided a valuable opportunity for experts, specialists and interested parties to discuss the future of industrial metal 3D printing. The focus was not only on the latest technological developments, but also on intensifying the exchange of knowledge and jointly shaping a promising future for the 3D metal printing industry.
The "Competence Center 3D Manufacturing" presented itself as a comprehensive service provider for precise 3D metal printing components, providing innovative solutions and services for additive manufacturing.
The discussion with experts focused on decisive factors for successful additive manufacturing processes, including material selection, component design and system technology and was dedicated to the potential of the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process with its diverse application possibilities, among other things. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their own components in terms of their suitability for additive manufacturing.
The event underlines the importance of cooperation in the "Competence Center 3D Manufacturing" for the promotion of innovation and the exchange of know-how in the 3D metal printing industry. Further symposia of the Competence Center are planned for 11.06.2024 and 17.09.2024.
