ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK has been awarded the prestigious German Design Award 2025 in the “Excellent Architecture - Conceptual Architecture” category for its new CONFORM NEXT production and office building. With the innovative new building at the Forchtenberg-Rauhbusch site, the company is setting a pioneering example of sustainable industrial architecture.
“This award confirms our commitment to combining sustainable building concepts and efficient production processes,” explains Lukas Schmieg, COO Functional Components at ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK.
“With CONFORM NEXT, it was important to us to consider ecological and economic aspects in equal measure. We are delighted that our concept has now been recognized.”
The new building is characterized in particular by the following features:
- Sustainable timber construction: The building structure is made of wood and enables environmentally friendly production.
- Regenerative heat generation & heat recovery: The energy concept increases efficiency and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.
- Automated transport & storage systems: Resource-saving processes and lean material flow ensure high efficiency.
“CONFORM NEXT combines sophisticated architecture with responsible use of energy and resources. We see this project as an important step towards sustainable production,” adds Tibor Olp, project manager at ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK.
The German Design Award is one of the best-known design prizes in the world and has been honoring innovative products and projects that are groundbreaking in the German and international design landscape since 2012.
