“For our customers, the new remote services are the perfect complement to the Industry 4.0 concept,” says Jan Schmierer, Team Leader of After-Sales Service at ARNOLD. “With these digital tools, we can identify the causes of and resolve any potential disruptions in production much more quickly.” In the future, process controllers, maintenance technicians, and operators will be able to easily communicate with ARNOLD’s service specialists via voice-controlled VR glasses whenever needed, thereby receiving immediate support. With the help of a digital twin, remote access to the machine allows problems to be identified or step-by-step instructions for repairs and maintenance to be provided. In this way, remote service eliminates the need for numerous trips, which also reduces the carbon footprint of industrial companies and helps protect the climate.
Save Costs by Reducing Machine Downtime
"In the future, process controllers, maintenance technicians, and operators will be able to easily communicate with ARNOLD’s service specialists using voice-controlled VR headsets whenever needed.
The professional after-sales service saves time and money right from the start, as it completely eliminates the need to wait for service technicians and the resulting machine downtime during each initial analysis. In addition, regular maintenance appointments can be planned more precisely in advance, which also increases machine availability. Using a hybrid solution, the ARNOLD on-site maintenance service also enables the documentation of mechanical joining processes. For international use, the tool translates all documents into 80 languages. Live translation with subtitles is also planned for the future.
Data security is our top priority
With the help of a digital twin, problems can be identified via remote access to the machine, or step-by-step instructions for repairs and maintenance can be provided.
All data is stored directly on the system and remains solely with the customer. Remote services are provided via a secure VPN connection, which the customer must authorize in advance—for example, using a key switch on a VPN router. This ensures that the company retains full control over any access to a system. Jan Schmierer explains: “We see ourselves as partners to our customers. That’s why, as with all our services, we prioritize secure processes, reliable products, and ease of use in our new remote services as well.”
