Great sign of solidarity
The terrible flood disaster in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate has brought unbelievable suffering to many people. Especially in such exceptional times, solidarity and willingness to help those affected are needed.
ARNOLD donates 70,000 EUR for flood victims
For this reason, the management and the works council of ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK, part of the Würth Group since 1994, initiated the campaign Flood-Victims-Help@ARNOLD. This gave all employees the opportunity to donate one to three hours from their time account on a voluntary basis. Alternatively, they had the option of donating half a day or a whole day of holiday. The resulting amount in euros was doubled by the management. With a total of 70,000 EUR, the campaign was a very big success. "We as ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK want to show the local people that we are not only with them in our thoughts, but also want to help financially. Sustainability and social responsibility are essential components of ARNOLD's corporate culture.", says ARNOLD Managing Director Frank Agner.
The donation will go to the technical aid organization foundation " Help for affected helpers inside". Albrecht Broemme, Vice Chairman of the the technical aid organization Foundation, was very pleased about ARNOLD's support. "The idea of donating hours is really great. The most valuable thing we can give to people is our time. I will take this idea with me and carry it further," said Albrecht Broemme.
The technical aid organization workers have worked tirelessly for many hours and days to the point of exhaustion, often losing their own belongings in the process. The money therefore goes directly to where it is needed, reports the Deputy Chairman of the Board.
